m.a. in sustainable design

So what is sustainable design, anyways?

I find endless inspiration in nature — not only in its beauty, but in the way its systems work together in balance. Designing for sustainability means creating with both human well-being and environmental impact in mind. It’s not about restricting creativity to neutral tones or kraft paper aesthetics, but about using color, emotion, and innovation to design solutions that work with nature rather than against it.

Sustainability begins with mindful consumption — understanding that every decision, material, and product has an impact. It grows through education, by empowering people to make informed, responsible choices. And it endures through a long-term vision focused on both reversing existing harm and maintaining ecological balance for the future.

My goal is to blend modern design and sustainablility principles to inspire positive behavior change through thoughtful, purposeful design — creating solutions that support people and the planet in harmony.
